Terms of Use
Effective September 18, 2026
These terms govern your use of the website at signanddeliverinterpreting.com and the Interpreter Portal at portal.signanddeliverinterpreting.com, both operated by Sign and Deliver Interpreting LLC (“Sign and Deliver,” “we,” or “us”). By using either, you agree to these terms.
Important. These terms cover use of our website and software only. They do not change the terms of any separate agreement you have signed with us. If you are an interpreter working with Sign and Deliver, your Independent Contractor Agreement or employment agreement governs your working relationship, your rates, and your obligations, and it controls if anything here appears to conflict with it.
Who may use the Interpreter Portal
The Interpreter Portal is private business software. It is available only to interpreters and staff to whom we have issued an account. It is not open to the public, and it is not a job board.
Your account
- Your account is yours alone. Do not share your login, and do not let anyone else use it.
- Keep your contact details and credentials accurate and current. We rely on them to staff assignments and to satisfy client requirements.
- Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your login.
Assignments
Assignments shown in the Portal are offers of work, not guarantees of work, and posting one creates no obligation on either side until it is accepted.
- Accepting an assignment is a commitment. Once you accept, we confirm you to the client by name, and the client plans around you.
- If you can no longer cover an assignment you have accepted, tell us as soon as you know. Late notice can trigger cancellation charges under our client contracts, and it leaves a Deaf consumer without access.
- There is never a penalty for declining an assignment you have not accepted.
- Some assignments require a specific certification, clearance, or prior approval from the client or a government agency. You may not work those assignments until that requirement is met.
Confidentiality
Assignment information in the Portal — including client identities, locations, meeting subject matter, participant details, and anything you learn in the course of an assignment — is confidential.
- Use it only to perform the assignment.
- Do not disclose it, post it, or discuss it outside what the assignment requires.
- Do not copy, export, or retain Portal data beyond what you need for your own records and invoicing.
- These obligations continue after an assignment ends and after your relationship with us ends.
Certain clients impose additional confidentiality requirements by statute or contract, including state agency confidentiality rules, student-record protections in school settings, and health-information protections in medical settings. Where those apply, you will be told and, where required, asked to sign a specific acknowledgment before you work.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to access data, accounts, or areas of the Portal you are not authorized to see.
- Interfere with, disrupt, probe, or attempt to circumvent the security of our systems.
- Use automated means to extract data from the Portal.
- Upload anything malicious, or anything you do not have the right to share.
- Use our systems for anything unlawful, or in a way that would put us in breach of a client contract.
Pay and invoicing
Pay rates, minimums, cancellation terms, and payment timing are set by your signed agreement with us, not by these terms. Close-out and invoice figures you submit through the Portal are your representation that the work was performed as stated. We may ask for correction or documentation where a submission appears inaccurate.
Our content
The website, the Portal, and their contents — including text, design, and the Sign and Deliver name and marks — belong to us. You may not copy or reuse them except as needed to do your work with us.
Availability
We aim to keep the Portal available and accurate, but we provide it “as is.” We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The Portal is a scheduling and records tool; it is not a substitute for direct communication with us about anything time-critical. For anything urgent on the day of an assignment, call or text rather than relying on the Portal.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sign and Deliver is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or the Portal. Nothing in this section limits any obligation we owe you under a signed agreement, or any liability that cannot be limited under California law.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close a Portal account at any time — for example, when someone stops working with us, when credentials lapse, or when these terms are breached. Your confidentiality obligations survive.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above and post the current version here. Continuing to use the website or the Portal after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from them will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, unless your signed agreement with us provides otherwise.
